The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has summoned the deputies and senators of his party to a meeting this Wednesday afternoon in Congress, one day before the constitutive sessions of Congress and the Senate scheduled for Thursday morning .

This will be the first meeting of the PP leader with all his parliamentarians after the general elections on July 23 and while the negotiations for the election of the Congress Bureau and the Presidency of the Lower House are taking place.

The general coordinator of the PP, Elías Bendodo, referred this Monday to the proposal of the Canary Islands Coalition for the PNV to chair the Congress.

"I understand that in these current times, where there are many pools to establish the Chambers, everyone is free to propose what they want and we are absolutely respectful, but, obviously, the Popular Party has its plans," he said.
