EiDF hires Deloitte to resolve discrepancies with PwC over its 2022 accounts

EiDF has hired the services of Deloitte to carry out "an investigation aimed at analyzing and gathering evidence related to incidents and/or discrepancies" maintained with PricewaterhouseCoopers Auditores (PwC) in the process of auditing its accounts for the year 2022, as reported by the company.

The company, whose listing on BME Growth has been suspended since mid-April, already announced on April 19 that it would not be able to present its accounts for the year 2022 within the legal term, which expires at the end of this month. and that he was working on hiring a third advisory firm, along with the ones he currently works with -PwC and KPMG-, to prepare his financial information.

In a relevant event, the renewables group indicated that these works will be carried out in various areas of its activity, such as business partners, "for the purpose of concluding on the existence of possible conflicts of interest, corporate logic and economic substance of the operations registered by these companies with the companies of the EiDF group, for the purposes of their accounting treatment in the consolidation of the accounts".

Thus, he pointed out that this work will include the contractual analysis and verification of the validity of all existing documents signed between the company and representatives/proxies of its partners, generating an inventory of them.

The works will also affect the Clients area, in order to conclude regarding the economic reality and current situation of the projects billed by the company, as well as Debtors, in order to conclude regarding the root cause of the registered debt and its proper documental support.

EiDF stressed that it will continue to keep the market "promptly informed" of the result of the analysis carried out by Deloitte, of the process of formulating the financial statements for the 2022 financial year and of their publication after the completion of the PwC audit process.

The shares of the company specialized in photovoltaic self-consumption were trading at 29.76 euros, with a rise of 2.98%, at the time of its suspension, placing its capitalization at more than 1,700 million euros, after accumulating a revaluation of more than 600% since it made the leap to BME Growth in 2021, where it is the largest company present in this index.

Its founder and CEO, Fernando Romero, is the main shareholder of EiDF, with a 72% stake through the company Prosol Energía; followed by Alejandro Alorda, who has 7.6%, and Julio Sergio Palmero with 6.6%.

In addition, the group had begun the procedures and internal work to incorporate its shares into the Continuous Market, for which it had hired Lazard.

EiDF reached a turnover of 315.54 million euros at the end of the third quarter, 40.71% above the forecasts included in its Business Plan and 932.86% more than the same period of the previous year.
