Dia appoints Guillaume Gras as new Economic and Financial Director

The board of directors of the Dia Group has approved the appointment of Guillaume Gras as the new Economic and Financial Director (CFO) to replace Jesús Soto.

Gras, who thus joins the company's Management Committee, will assume the position of CFO with effect from this Monday, November 6, as reported by the supermarket chain to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

Dia's new CFO, who has nearly 20 years of experience in the retail sector, worked in the Casino group, including 10 years in France and 10 years in both Vietnam and Brazil.

Graduated from the EDHEC Business School in France, with a specialty in Finance, he began his career as a financial auditor at the company Ernst

In France, he developed different functions in the internal audit area, marketing department and commercial management of Casino France.

At the end of 2011, he was appointed financial director of the Casino Restauration company. Later in 2014, he took over the financial management of real estate management and distribution activities in Vietnam.

His professional experience continued in Brazil in 2016 at Pao de Açucar, first in charge of management control for the South American area and later assuming the position of Vice President of Finance and Director of Financial Communication and Investor Relations.

Martín Tolcachir, CEO of Dia, has highlighted that Gras' "extensive experience" in the international distribution sector "will provide great value to the Dia Group in this new stage" in which the company's roadmap "is yielding very satisfactory results."

"I feel very proud to accompany Grupo Dia in this phase of consolidation of its growth and in the construction of a relevant player in local food distribution in the markets in which it operates," highlighted, for his part, the new CFO.

Gras succeeds Jesús Soto, who leaves the company to face new professional projects. Dia took the opportunity to thank Soto for the work done since he joined the group in 2020 and wished him "the best success in his new professional challenges."
