This has been confirmed by the Minister of Health, Hassan al Ghabash, who has detailed that among the deceased are six women and six other children, while warning that the toll of victims may increase, reported the SANA news agency. .

Al Ghabash has traveled to one of the hospitals in the city of Homs to see firsthand the state of health of some of the injured. From there he has guaranteed that all victims will receive the necessary treatment.

Likewise, the Minister of Health thanked the Syrian health teams for their work in caring for all the wounded, while highlighting the coordination between all the hospital centers in Homs.

The authorities have declared three days of mourning for the death of civilians and soldiers in this event, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement in which it regrets that this attack is another example of the "brutal and bloody terrorist approach" suffered the Syrian population for years.

For its part, the Syrian Armed Forces have confirmed that the attack has caused "several martyrs" and "dozens of wounded", without at the moment any claim of responsibility, according to a statement published by the Syrian Ministry of the Interior through your account on the social network Facebook.

"In a continuation of their criminal stance and spilling of Syrian blood, terrorist organizations supported by well-known international actors have attacked a graduation ceremony at a military academy in Homs," they said.

Thus, they have specified that the facilities have been attacked with "drones carrying explosives" and have denounced that this "unprecedented cowardly terrorist act" has left several civilians injured "in critical condition", so it is not ruled out that the balance of deaths will increase in the coming hours.

"We will respond with all our strength and determination to these terrorist organizations, wherever they are, and we emphasize that the planners and executors of this criminal act will be held accountable and will pay a high price," the Syrian Armed Forces have concluded.
