Compromís asks Sumar for a position in the direction of the parliamentary group in Congress

MADRID, 8 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The elected deputy of Compromís-Sumar for Valencia Águeda Micó has defended this Tuesday that the Valencian coalition should "be present" in a deputy spokesperson within the parliamentary group in the Congress of the formation of Yolanda Díaz

This is how the Valencian parliamentarian has pronounced in an interview on RNE, collected by Europa Press, when asked if she considers that Compromís should have a position in the direction of the parliamentary group.

"It is something that we want to be on the table, Compromís is part of that plurality and therefore we should be present", Micó has claimed in this regard. In turn, he has opted to give the spokesman for the group a person "with the ability to negotiate", although he has avoided giving names: "We are facing a legislature with many agreements and I think it is important that the people who lead have the ability to represent the whole world."

Internally, the Compromís deputy has also referred to the criticism of various Podemos leaders against Sumar, although she does not believe that this "puts the unity of the coalition led by Yolanda Díaz at risk". "Criticism has to fit well within what plurality is in a parliamentary group," she added.

Regarding the negotiations to re-edit the coalition government, the elected deputy of Compromís-Sumar considers that the formation of the Congress Table will be "the first step" to also try to investiture Pedro Sánchez.

For this reason, he believes that it should not be closed to incorporating pro-independence parties to the Table of Congress. "We need political agreements, agreements in the bodies of Congress and investiture agreements, therefore, I would not leave anyone behind in relation to being able to have parliamentary majorities", he has defended.

In this context, he has called for "starting to work now" to make a progressive majority possible, although he believes that Alberto Núñez Feijóo, as the winner of the elections, has his "political right" to try to go to an investiture.

And in the midst of the negotiations, the Compromís deputy has indicated as "essential" the reform of the autonomous financing system, which has been on the table in recent days in the face of demands also from the pro-independence parties.
