Candidates from the PSOE Aragón lists resign after incorporating Ferraz to Susana Sumelzo as two after Alegría

MADRID, 9 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Fifteen candidates from the PSOE Aragón lists for Congress and the Senate have resigned late this Friday due to their "deep disagreement" with the changes carried out by the Federal Commission on Lists, which include the inclusion from Ferraz of Susana Sumelzo as number two for Zaragoza, behind Pilar Alegría, and to the detriment of Óscar Galeano, who was going to occupy the second position for the Lower House in the 23J elections after his relegation as head of the list due to the imposition of the minister.

In this sense, the Regional Executive Commission of the PSOE Aragón has expressed "its profound disagreement" with Ferraz's decision in relation to the candidacies for Congress and the Senate of the provinces of Zaragoza and Teruel, "whose composition hardly has anything to do with with the proposals of the corresponding provincial committees and, therefore, with the opinion of the militants".

"We deeply regret this decision that is going to produce, with all certainty, a deep discouragement among the militants a few weeks before the elections," they said in a statement.

These changes in the lists, one day after the meeting of the Federal Committee of the PSOE in Madrid, have caused the resignation of up to fifteen Aragonese Socialist candidates for Congress and the Senate, including Óscar Galeano himself, who was finally going to occupy a position on the list for the Upper House after the inclusion of Sumelzo.

The candidates for Congress Noemí Villagrasa, José Antonio Remón, Ángeles Malo, Abraham Martínez, Ángeles Pérez, Manuel Morte, Virtudes Borque and Adrián Gimeno have also resigned; and those of the Senate, Ana Isabel Villar, Mar Bruna, María Pilar Capdevila, José Igancio Andrés, Eugenio Torrubia and Raquel Naranjo.

These resignations occur, according to the statement, for "not sharing the criteria followed." No more resignations are ruled out in the next few hours.
