Calviño advances the creation of more than 400,000 jobs in the first four months of the year

The First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño, has advanced this Wednesday that the Social Security affiliation data for the month of April, which will be released tomorrow, will confirm the "positive" dynamics of " strong acceleration of employment", reaching all-time highs, which was already shown by the Active Population Survey (EPA) for the first quarter.

Thus, Calviño has advanced that the first quarter of the year will close with more than 400,000 new affiliates, which implies an average growth rate of more than 100,000 employed per month.

During the press conference after the Council of Ministers, the first vice president highlighted that the affiliation data that will be published this Thursday shows a "generalized increase in all sectors", with "particular dynamism" in areas related to non-financial services , with non-tourist services, information technologies, science and the new digital economy.

In addition, Calviño has emphasized that, "for the first time" in the Spanish labor market, "quantity and quality go hand in hand", with a longer duration of contracts and a reduction in the temporary rate.

"We are, in short, facing a structural change in our labor market", assured the vice president, who has attributed the "good progress" of employment to the labor reform and "strong economic activity".
