The president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, José Luis Bonet, considers the elimination of the golden visa, also known as 'golden visa', for non-resident foreigners in the European Union who invest more than 500,000 euros in housing.
"It is a demagogic and misguided gesture," Bonet criticized during his speech at an informative breakfast, organized by the Spanish Confederation of Directors and Executives (CEDE).

But Bonet has criticized this initiative announced by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and has explained that many of the families who decide to buy a home do so to have their second home, sometimes in the face of "rumors of war" near your country of origin.
"Spain has become the summer resort and second home for millions of Europeans. Reducing the possibilities for them to come seems unwise to me," said the president of the Chamber of Commerce.
Asked about the intention of the century-old cosmetics firm Puig to go public, Bonet considers that it is a "successful" announcement and believes that it could be "a good solution."
This week, Puig announced on Monday his intention to go public to raise more than 2.5 billion euros through a newly issued public offering of shares (IPO) aimed at qualified investors and another offer to sell existing shares of greater amount.
"When family businesses diversify, there comes a time when they can turn to this type of solution, especially if they have the necessary size and the necessary position in the world, as is the case, for example, of Puig," he said. highlighted the president of the Chamber of Commerce.
