Xavi's men put eight points in the lead against Real Madrid with goals from Jordi Alba, Gavi and Raphinha

MADRID, 5 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

FC Barcelona beat Sevilla (3-0) this Sunday on matchday 20 of LaLiga Santander held at the Spotify Camp Nou, an important victory because it makes it increase its cushion in the lead to 8 points with Real Madrid, and which it signed in the line of good play with goals from Jordi Alba, Gavi and Raphinha in the second half.

Xavi Hernández's team gave a bite to the League, which they want to win four years later, at the expense of a Sevilla that did not believe much in their options despite coming from two victories and with a certain reaction to their crisis. Jorge Sampaoli's men barely left their field and did not test Ter Stegen, not even a chance to score, largely due to the pressure from the locals.

After Madrid's defeat in the morning in Mallorca, the booty was worth double for a Barça that had patience and an offensive attitude until they found the prize of goals. Despite Sergio Busquets' injury after three minutes, Xavi's team had one of their best games. Gavi, with the '6' at the Camp Nou, Raphinha and Jordi Alba shone in a special way in the leader.

Kessie's forced entry, due to the more than possible sprain of 'Busi', did not change much the Barca script, which tried to overcome a white wall. The film was starred entirely by the local team, with full possession and playing in the opposite field. After 15 minutes Barça's barrage of chances arrived, with Bono victorious against Lewandowski and Araujo narrowly heading wide.

Sampaoli's men appeared on the way to the locker room, at least leaving their field, but without actually testing Ter Stegen. The Argentinian coach put in a re-fished Bryan Gil and Lamela, but Barça was clear that they could not relax. Xavi's men insisted, this time with Jordi Alba's centers.

The veteran winger and captain, who assumes that this season has the position that is much discussed by Balde, was the best culé engine and ended up being a stiletto too, when in the 58th minute he opened the can after a great pass from Kessie (1-0). The goal was relaxation in a good way for Barça, who released a machine that you start to like seeing that it works.

Sevilla, with Jordán trying to decipher Sampaoli's orders on a piece of paper, thought about the change of drawing and, between going forward or backward, Barça easily found the gaps. Raphinha ran to uncheck to make it 2-0 for Gavi and the Brazilian himself also scored an assist from Alba on goal.

Ocampos had the only shot on the visitor's goal in a header into the goalkeeper's hands, already in the last minutes, but the party at the Camp Nou could have been bigger. Lewandowski lacked the goal, although he did not need the top scorer, nor perhaps his best man, such as an injured Dembélé, a leader who does not mislead his triumphant march, without losing in the League since the October Classic.
