At least nine Palestinians killed, including a journalist, after renewed Israeli attacks on Gaza

MADRID, 1 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Almost a dozen Palestinians have died, including a journalist, following the resumption of bombing by the Israeli Army on the Gaza Strip after Israeli authorities accused the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) of violating the truce by allegedly launching a rocket from the enclave.

Among the deceased is the journalist and cameraman of the Palestinian television network Al Aqsa TV, Abdullah Darwish 'Abu Mumin', as reported by the Palestinian newspaper 'Filastín' on its Telegram channel.

In the city of Rafá, in the south of the Strip, the authorities have already recorded four deaths after a bomb hit a house in a central neighborhood, while another three people have died from bombings in the Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza. In addition, the body of a Palestinian has been recovered from the rubble in the south of the enclave.

The Israeli authorities have confirmed the resumption of fighting just minutes after the expiration of the deadline for the extension of the temporary truce between the parties and an hour after the detection and interception of a rocket that activated the air raid sirens for the first time. since November 24, when the "humanitarian pause" came into force.

A week ago an agreement between both sides came into force establishing a "humanitarian pause" in Gaza, which included the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, as well as an increased flow of humanitarian aid convoys into the territory, carrying weeks under siege by the Israeli authorities.

Hamas assaulted southern Israel on October 7, leaving 1,200 Israelis dead and 240 hostages, so Israel began an air and ground offensive against the Gaza Strip that has already killed more than 15,000 Palestinians. In the West Bank, attacks by the Israeli Army and settlers have killed more than 230 people.
