Andueza assures, after the "extraordinary" result, that PSE "will once again be at the level" that the Basques deserve

BILBAO, 21 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The general secretary of the PSE-EE and candidate for lehendakari of the party, Eneko Andueza, has highlighted the "extraordinary" results of the Basque socialists in the Basque elections on April 21, which, according to him, will serve to "improve the life of the Basques". Likewise, he stated that "tomorrow it will be time to decide" with "responsibility" and his party "will once again live up to what the Basque citizens deserve."

In an appearance at the Bizkaia Aretoa in Bilbao, together with socialist candidates and leaders, Andueza assessed the results of the elections on April 21, in which the PSE has won two more seats than four years ago and will have 12 representatives in the Basque Chamber, which remains the third political force in Parliament.

The socialists maintain their seats in Álava and add one more representative in both Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, compared to the July 2020 elections, which will mean they will have four parliamentarians for each territory.

In a first analysis of the electoral results, which this Monday the Executive Commission of the PSE-EE will analyze in depth, Andueza has described as "extraordinary" the data of the socialist candidacy, which he has led for the first time, and has assured "all those people who have trusted the PSE-EE that their vote will serve what we have said throughout the campaign".

"It will serve to improve the lives of Basques, to protect and strengthen our public services, to guarantee progressive policies in Euskadi, to guarantee plurality and, ultimately, to carry out the policy that an immense majority wants." in this country," he stressed.

Likewise, he stated that "tomorrow it will be time to decide" and the PSE-EE is going to do so "with the responsibility that has always been our goal, with the firmness that the defense of our principles and our program demands, but aware that it is "it is necessary to respond to those thousands and thousands of Basques who want a policy that is far from noise, that forgets about myths and adventures and that people think of their rights and freedoms as a priority."

"The PSE-EE, once again, as it has always done throughout its history, will once again live up to what the Basque citizens deserve," he stressed.
