The Civil Guard is investigating the alleged murder of two girls, aged two and four, as well as the subsequent death of their father, 35 years old and of Romanian origin, through the use of some type of poison in the district of Las Alcubillas de Alboloduy (Almería). ) in what is being investigated as a possible vicarious crime since the mother of the little girls, included in the Viogén system, had a restraining order with respect to the father.

Sources from the investigation have confirmed to Europa Press the events that took place on Sunday night in this scattered area, inside a home, most of which corresponds to the municipality of Gérgal, although the events would have taken place in the part of Alboloduy.

The Civil Guard has indicated that based on the evidence found at the scene, the most likely hypothesis is that the cause of death is due to ingestion of a poisonous substance, although it has specified that we will have to wait for the autopsy of the three. corpses.

With this, the investigation remains open and the line that has gained more strength according to the indications that have been used so far is that the man would have killed his young daughters before ending his own life.

In this sense, it would have been the little girls' mother, separated from their father and of Romanian origin, who would have found the lifeless bodies in the farmhouse when she went to look for them, since they would have spent the end of their life with her father. week.

On the other hand, the subdelegate of the Government in Almería, José María Martín, has confirmed that the mother of the minors, 23 years old, was included in the protection system for victims of gender violence, Viogén. "She is an element that must be considered in the investigation," he stated in statements to the media.

Specifically, according to sources from the investigation, the man was arrested in May 2022 after a complaint from the woman, who, while pregnant, had suffered some type of physical violence. At the current time, the man had a restraining order in force with respect to the mother of the little girls, but not with respect to them.

The subdelegate of the Government in Almería has regretted this news with "deep sadness" while pointing out the investigative work carried out by the Civil Guard, a sense in which he has been "cautious" until all aspects of the case can be confirmed.
