A Supervision, Normalization and Representation Commission created by the Higher Sports Council (CSD) will oversee the functioning of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in the coming months, while no decision was made about Pedro Rocha and the rest of members of the federative Managing Commission after the file opened last week by the Sports Administrative Court (TAD).

As indicated by the Council after this Thursday's meeting of its Board of Directors, the body chaired by José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes thus responds to "the crisis of the federative entity" and acts "in defense of the general interest of Spain." "The Government has adopted this decision to correct the serious situation that the RFEF is going through and so that the entity can begin a stage of regeneration under a climate of stability and institutionality," he said.

The CSD announced that "independent people of recognized prestige will be placed at the head of this commission" and reiterated that "the situation of the RFEF requires high-mindedness." "The Government is acting with seriousness, determination and responsibility. The CSD Board of Directors also met this Thursday to discuss the opinion of the Sports Administrative Court (TAD) on the actions of Pedro Rocha and the members with whom he was in charge of the RFEF Management Committee, but in the end it was not taken. no disciplinary decision in this regard.

Last Monday, April 15, the TAD communicated the opening of a file to the former president of the RFEF Management Commission and the rest of its members for having exceeded their duties, such as the renewal of Luis de la Fuente as national coach. male, following a complaint filed by the president of CENAFE, Miguel Galán.

Because this is a very serious infraction, the CSD Board of Directors could agree to the provisional suspension of Rocha, the only candidate to preside over the RFEF who has presented the necessary number of endorsements, a total of 107, and Rodríguez Uribes himself. had warned that they would make "a coherent decision" and "in accordance" with the qualification "of the facts."

And at its meeting this Thursday, the Board of Directors was going to analyze and deliberate on this file, and also the documentation sent by the members of the RFEF Management Committee, but after it, Rodríguez Uribes only reported his decision "to urge "the members of this Management Commission "to limit their functions to the mere ordinary administration of the entity, as required by law."

"The CSD Board of Directors will meet again next Tuesday, April 30, to analyze the general situation of the RFEF and carry out, where appropriate, new actions in relation to the disciplinary file opened against Mr. Rocha, on which it will rule. the TAD in the coming weeks," the Council stated.
