96.1% of Más Madrid vote in favor of the political party supporting Sumar for 23J

MADRID, 7 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

96.1 percent of the membership of Más Madrid has voted in favor of this political organization supporting Sumar in the face of the general elections on July 23, compared to 3.89 percent who have opted for ' No'.

Más Madrid is holding a plenary session this Tuesday for the militancy to show its position to the leadership on potential support for participation in Sumar for 23J.

The militancy has defended that Más Madrid "has to be in the starting positions" in Sumar, the organization secretary, Manuela Bergerot, has indicated. The militancy has given "unanimous support" to the leadership of the political organization to run with Sumar in the general elections on July 23 but "with nuances", in the words of the municipal leader Rita Maestre, nuances that go through maintaining the forms to make training policy, participate in the programmatic process and the preservation of the brand".

In the assembly and before the vote, Maestre already anticipated that the 21 assemblies of the city have shown a "clear consensus" around support for Sumar's candidacy in the general elections but "with nuances."

These nuances go through the fact that in this next campaign "the ways of doing politics of Más Madrid, the particular accent of Más Madrid" are maintained. Also that Más Madrid "participate in the programmatic process" and the "preservation of the brand".

The question of the consultation has been 'Do you agree that Más Madrid supports Sumar and that the coordinating team negotiates the best conditions for the next general elections?'

NO VETOES

The regional leader of Más Madrid, Mónica García, has insisted that they have not put "absolutely no veto" in the formation of Sumar and believe that the weight of their political formation after the May 28 elections must be reflected.

"We have not put any veto at all, we have not put any veto on any political party or anyone. We say it and we say it again as many times as necessary. The fruit of our negotiation is to put on the table not only our results, also the way of doing politics to broaden that progressive spectrum that we believe is essential right now in Spain", he asserted.

Minutes before the assembly has started, García has assured that in Más Madrid they are "discreet" in the face of "very delicate negotiations" and for which "great and good care" is needed.

"We have had a result on May 28 that makes us the only progressive force that has been able to grow and this has to be reflected in some way," García replied to the press when asked about the weight of Más Madrid in the candidacy led by Yolanda Díaz.
