They investigate in Jaén the death of a six-year-old boy whose mother shows signs of self-harm

The National Police is investigating in Jaén the death of a six-year-old child whose mother has also been located at the same address with signs of self-harm.

As reported by the National Police, it was around 9:00 a.m. when a call came into room 091 reporting a suicide attempt in an apartment in the central area of ​​the capital. Specifically, at number 2 Frente a Jesús street, in the La Merced neighborhood.

Once the patrol arrived at the scene, they confirmed the discovery of a lifeless six-year-old minor in one of the rooms of the apartment and his mother, alive and with signs of self-harm due to a knife.

It was the other son, 17 years old, who called asking for help. According to the call, her mother was in bed with stab wounds, while her youngest was next to her, already deceased.

The mother has been transferred by conventional ambulance to a hospital in the capital to be treated for her injuries.

The judicial protocol has been activated, so notice has been given to the investigating judge, the coroner and the Judicial and Scientific Police groups.

They are waiting for the judge to arrive at the home to remove the body, while agents from the Judicial and Scientific Police are already inside the house.
