STATEMENT: Don Servando reveals his secret to turning 109 years old, supported by Dr. Manuel de la Peña

(Information sent by the signatory company)

According to the INE, more than 20,000 people pass the age of 100 in Spain and the key is to know the customs and lifestyles, to identify the characteristics they have in common and in this way to be able to achieve the goal of Jeanne Calment, a French woman who lived to be 122 years old

Madrid, May 6, 2024.- In this area, the admirable scientific work carried out by Dr. Manuel de la Peña, of great international prestige as an academic, director of the chair of heart and longevity and president of the European Institute of Health, stands out. and Social Welfare, which affirms with great certainty that in the year 2045 we will live 120 years and to prove it, it is researching and conducting a tour of clinical interviews with the oldest people in the world. Proof of this is that after the meeting they had last week with Doña Josefa Navas, 107 years old, with Don Engraciano, 109, and with Doña Teodora, 112, he has visited Don Servando Palacín, who turns 109 today, May 6 (he was born on May 6, 1915). In this sense, Professor de la Peña considers that Don Servando has been greatly influenced by his healthy habits and lifestyles, that is, his epigenetics, since his customs include: "a healthy and balanced diet, in which he drinks a wine at food, gymnastics exercises in bed, since for him physical exercise is essential and that is why he walks for an hour almost every day, he has a very positive attitude and prays every day, since he claims to have a lot of faith and be Catholic." The doctor was also struck by the fact that his blood pressure was perfectly controlled, since it was 140/70, his heart rate was normal, since it was 78 beats per minute at rest, and his heart rate is sinus (normal). ), that is, it does not have arrhythmias. Likewise, he observed that his oxygen saturation was 97 and his blood cholesterol was 120. All of these positive characteristics protect him against any type of cardiovascular event, such as stroke and heart attack. Throughout the clinical interview, Don Servando, He is a very positive person, he has shown at all times that his mental faculties are fully preserved and that he is looking forward to reaching 120 years of age. On the other hand, his skin reflects his life history, his good mood and healthy habits. His grandson, who is a pharmacist, provides him with creams and it can be seen that he is very well hydrated. Of course, he takes a 'little pill' to sleep. Dr. de la Peña was also struck by the fact that a hematoma produced on a part of the face after a fall was reabsorbed and resolved in just two days. Interestingly, he has been asthmatic until the age of 48 and currently, he does not have any asthma related symptoms. The doctor has only found a vitamin D deficiency, but he states that it is very common in 70% of the general population and that to solve it he takes supplements. His two children, Javier, 75 years old, and Begoña, 81 years old, take turns and take care of him with great care and affection. All this research on real stories and testimonies of supercentenarians is collected in the Guide to living healthy 120 years, written by De la Peña, who is going to launch the Penguin Randhon House publishing house. De la Peña, in addition to being a professor of cardiology and an academic, is a Cum Laude doctor and a writer. He has received several awards, including the Gold Badge of the Association of Coronary Patients (APACOR) and the Bronze Medal of the Society of International Studies (SEI). The European Institute of Health and Social Welfare is an independent institution, where Nobel Prize winners, ministers of different political groups and members of the European Parliament, among others, have participated.
