Likewise, he thanked his counterpart "for confirming his willingness to support Ukraine as long as necessary, as well as the clear and constant commitment of the United States to the principle of sovereignty and territorial integrity (...) within internationally recognized borders" .

The Ukrainian president, who has described the telephone call as a "fruitful conversation", has assured through a publication on his profile on the social network Twitter that "the leadership of the United States remains firm".

"We are talking about greater cooperation in the defense, protection and maintenance of our energy sector. Coordinated positions on the eve of the G7 online summit", he pointed out.

For its part, the White House has reported that Biden has underlined Washington's continued defense support for Ukraine "while Russia continues its attacks on critical infrastructure."
