Ukrainian Intelligence Sees Belarusian Participation In The War Unlikely Despite Threats

MADRID, 28 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Ukrainian Intelligence has indicated on Monday that the threats from Belarus about its possible participation in the war are part of a campaign to destabilize the troops and the Ukrainian population.

As reported by the director of Ukrainian Intelligence, Andrii Yusov, the information released from Minsk and Moscow about the entry of Belarus into the war pursues "several objectives at the same time."

One of them would be the mobilization and deployment of Ukrainian troops at other points on the border with Belarus, thus clearing other territories, which would facilitate the Russian advance, according to the Ukrinform news agency.

But at the same time, these threats also have an effect on the morale not only of Russian troops, but also among Belarusians who, according to Yusov, would be more committed to their country's participation in a full-scale war.

Thus, although the person in charge of Ukrainian Intelligence considers that for the moment the Belarusian participation in the war is not a reality, he has recognized that in part such a threat does exist.

At this point, he has once again accused Belarus and its president, Alexander Lukashenko, of supplying arms to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in the framework of the offensive on Ukraine, which began more than nine months ago.
