The Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office estimated this Friday at about 450 the number of children killed since the start of the Russian invasion, unleashed on February 24 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The agency has indicated in a message on its Telegram account that 449 children have died and 859 have been injured "of varying severity" since the start of hostilities, although it has stressed that "the figures are not final."
