Ukrainian authorities have called on the G20 to withdraw its invitation to Russian President Vladimir Putin for the upcoming summit and expel the country for attacks on Ukraine's civilian population and infrastructure.

"Putin publicly acknowledged ordering missile strikes against Ukrainian civilians and energy infrastructure. With blood on his hands, he should not be allowed to sit at the table with world leaders," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko said. .
