Ukraine claims that the negotiation that Russia is seeking is just a way to evade its responsibility

The main adviser to the Ukrainian Presidency, Mikhailo Podoliak, has denied Russian President Vladimir Putin this Sunday, stating that Moscow is not interested in any negotiation as it shows that it continues to "kill citizens" and that they are only trying to "evade their responsibilities".

Podoliak has said that "Putin needs to come back to reality" and has questioned the reasons he has been using to justify the invasion of Ukraine. "There are no other 'countries, motives, geopolitics'. Russia does not want negotiations, but is trying to shirk its responsibilities. It is obvious," he wrote on Twitter.

"We will not see in court," Podoliak has settled, in Ukraine's line of not sitting down to negotiate with Russia as long as it is under the conditions imposed by the Kremlin.

The main adviser to President Volodimir Zelenski, has also spoken hours before about the latest Russian offensive on Kherson on the eve of Christmas Day, leaving 16 dead and dozens injured in its wake, resorting to it to criticize those who support the initiatives of supposed peace of the Kremlin.

"I am going to remind those who propose to take into account Putin's 'peace' initiatives that right now Russia is 'negotiating', killing the inhabitants of Kherson, destroying Bakhmut, destroying the networks of kyiv and Odessa, torturing civilians in Melitopol... Russia wants to kill with impunity," he wrote on Twitter.
