Three Peruvian ministers travel to Ayacucho to open a dialogue table with the protesters

MADRID, 18 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Ministers of Health, Justice and Agriculture of the new Peruvian Government have traveled to Ayacucho, the epicenter of the protests against the new Executive, to try to establish a channel for dialogue with the leaders of the protesters.

The Minister of Health, Rosa Gutiérrez, has explained that they will supervise the transfer of three patients from the Ayacucho Regional Hospital to Lima to receive specialized medical attention and for this they are accompanied by health workers.

Guitiérrez has traveled to Ayacucho together with the Ministers of Justice, José Tello, and of Agriculture, Fabiola Muñoz after the protests that have resulted in nine deaths in recent days.

"We are going to establish a space for dialogue with our team and we want to bring the best and reach good agreements for the Ayacucho region," Gutiérrez pointed out in statements collected by the RPP radio station.

The minister explained that when she returns from this trip she will inform the press of the agreements that have been reached with the regional leaders to attend to the needs of the population.

This trip takes place after a session of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in which "actions deployed to care for the population" were evaluated.

At least four of the nine who died in the clashes that took place last Thursday in Ayacucho were buried on Saturday amid protests over the use of lethal force by security forces.
