The Tunisian president calls for an "end" to the illegal migration of sub-Saharan Africans

MADRID, 22 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of Tunisia, Kais Saied, has advocated this Tuesday for the need to "put an end" to the illegal migration of sub-Saharan Africans, stating that they "continue with violence, crimes and unacceptable practices."

According to the Tunisian president during a meeting of the country's security council, there is a phenomenon of human trafficking that must stop, for which he has urged work to be carried out at the diplomatic, security and military levels, according to a statement of the Tunisian Presidency.

Saied has maintained that the situation "is abnormal", pointing out that there is a criminal agreement "prepared since the beginning of the century" to change the demographic composition of Tunisia for which there are parties that would have received a large amount of money after 2011, when they had place the 'Arab Spring' protests.

Likewise, these "waves" of irregular migration would have the objective of considering Tunisia "just an African country" so that it does not belong to the Arab and Islamic nations.

However, the Tunisian president has assured that he defends Human Rights and that he appreciates "his African identity", since Tunisia is one of the founding countries of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) and "supported many peoples" in their struggle for liberation and independence.

In this sense, Saied has called for Africa to be for Africans "until what the African peoples have suffered during decades of wars and famine ends," according to the letter.
