The Kremlin ensures that citizens are not prohibited from traveling abroad

MADRID, 24 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Kremlin spokesman, Dimitri Peskov, has assured this Tuesday that the Russian authorities "are not discussing" today the possibility of prohibiting, or putting impediments to, Russian citizens to travel abroad.

Peskov has been questioned at a press conference about this possibility after the State Duma (Lower House) has addressed on Tuesday the imposition of a reserve so that vehicles can cross the border, collects Interfax.

After the uncertainty that this proposal from the Lower House of the Russian Parliament has generated, the Duma itself has stepped forward to clarify that the measure is aimed at the transport of goods, of which it seeks to have an exit control from Russian territory.

The president of the Duma Transport Committee, Yeigeni Moskvichev, has stressed that the measure seeks to avoid queues at border points by setting an exact date and time for carriers.
