The Government of Peru calls on the protesters to attend dialogue tables to channel their requests

MADRID, 17 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Council of State of Peru has made an appeal this Friday to the people involved in the protests that are succumbing to the country to cease the demonstrations and clashes with the Police and to participate in dialogue tables.

In a press conference after meeting with President Dina Boluarte, the head of the National Justice Board (JNJ), José Ávila, indicated that despite the fact that "order has been restored in many areas", in others they could be channeled democratically the protests with dialogue tables, has reported the Andina agency.

"We want to invoke the citizens that if they have social demands, if they have claims, the Executive has begun to promote dialogue tables, to be able to democratically channel these social claims that citizens have the right to raise, but not through violence, but of dialogue", he indicated.

Likewise, he has maintained that "this is the best way to resolve some of the requests of the population", emphasizing that "violence causes harm and affects the life and integrity of people", a fact that "34 million Peruvians they cannot tolerate and allow."

"In this sense, to make this invocation to all citizens to desist from these violent actions and seek spaces for dialogue, the ministers are going to the various areas to establish this dialogue. In a political community, citizens must dialogue with the authorities, That is the best example we can give", he said.

The Peruvian Government has decreed a state of emergency at the national level for a period of 30 days as a response to the protests that are taking place throughout the country following the impeachment and arrest of former President Pedro Castillo.
