Despite the fact that the identity of the escaped inmates has not been officially reported, among them would be Ernesto Alfredo Piñón de la Cruz, alias 'El Neto', leader of the criminal group Los Mexicles, one of the armed arms of Gente Nueva, part of the Sinaloa Cartel.
