The approval of the president of Chile continues to decline, falling below 30%

MADRID, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The approval of the management of the president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, has fallen 13 points in the last four weeks, reaching a 26 percent approval rating, according to the latest survey by the Cadem company.

According to the latest polls, only 26 percent of those surveyed approve of Boric's performance in power. In addition, 66 percent disapprove of the president's work, the highest figure since he won the elections.

This sample indicates that since the previous consultation, their support has decreased by one percentage point.

Among the Chilean president's team, the worst valued ministers are that of the Economy portfolio, Nicolás Grau, with 39 percent; and that of the Social Development portfolio, Giorgio Jackson, in last place with 35 percent.

Grau is a member of the Social Convergence party, while Jackson belongs to the Democratic Revolution, both parties being part of the Broad Front conglomerate.

The polling company has consulted the public about which areas should have more weight in the decision-making of the Boric Executive. Thus, the areas that have the highest percentage among public opinion are: delinquency, public order and drug trafficking (61 percent).

Behind crime is the economy (35 percent), health (27 percent), migration (20 percent), education (13 percent), and pensions (11 percent).

In addition, 68 percent of those surveyed have been in favor of a new Constitution in Chile, despite the "rejection" in the plebiscite on September 4.

In this line, 46 percent prefer to make reforms of the current Magna Carta, while 42 percent are in favor of making a structural change. Only 10 percent choose to keep the current one without any changes.
