Russia attacks Ukrainian capital with drones

The mayor of kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, has reported at dawn on Wednesday that there have been explosions in the Ukrainian capital.

Klitschko has also ensured that several of the launched drones could have been repelled thanks to the anti-aircraft defense, as the head of the kyiv Regional Military Administration, Oleksiy Kuleba, later confirmed.

"The morning in the capital and the kyiv region began with a Russian drone strike. Most of the drones were shot down by the region's air defense forces," Kuleba said.

"The air alert continues. The danger remains (...) Russia continues with the energy terror of the country, but every day we are stronger," said the head of the region's Military Administration.

However, according to preliminary information from the authorities, two administrative buildings have been damaged, while information about possible victims is being clarified.

Likewise, it has urged citizens to remain in shelters and safe places for the moment.

Around 0600, the Ukrainian authorities have announced an air alert in the kyiv, Yitomir and Vinitsia regions, reports Unian.
