Pence says he has no plans to run again for vice president

MADRID, 29 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The former vice president of the United States during the Trump Administration, Mike Pence, has affirmed this Monday that he has no plans to run in the presidential elections as vice president, stating that "twice is enough".

"I think that running for vice president of the United States twice is enough for any American," said Trump's 'number two' in statements collected by 'NewsNation'.

Pence had previously conveyed his opinion that the Republican Party would have "better options for 2024" than former President Donald Trump, adding that he is considering running for office.

The former vice president argued that after the officialization of Trump's candidacy to run for the Presidency after the Republican primaries there would be better options, pointing out that the American people will be the ones who must ratify or not the magnate again as president of the country.

In this sense, Pence confirmed that he and his family are considering the possibility of presenting their candidacy for the Republican Party primaries.

"And for me and my family, we will be reflecting on what our roles will be in that (a possible candidacy)," he added, according to statements collected by CNN.

Pence has run up to two times for Vice President alongside President Trump in 2016 and 2020. While Trump has already formally announced his candidacy for the upcoming presidential election, he has not chosen a running mate and Pence has not expressed any interest. to meet him again.
