Pedro Castillo affirms that "he will not give truce" to his detractors and reiterates that his Government is not corrupt

The president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, stated this Monday that "the detractors will not give a truce", referring to the opposition sector that is against his continuing as head of the Government, alleging that "they do not have the moral authority" to say that your Executive is corrupt.

In an intervention during the delivery of property titles for families and institutions of the Apurímac region, in the south of the country, the Peruvian president has justified his reasoning by assuring that among those who criticize him are people who previously governed the country, according to reported Willax TV.

"I am addressing Peru to tell them that we are not going to give respite to detractors, to people who had the opportunity to lead the country's destinies and today, do not have the moral authority to say that this government is corrupt," Castillo said. , making an appeal to the population so that "once and for all" "these useless confrontations" are put aside.

Likewise, the Peruvian president has recalled that his government has only been in office for 15 months and that, even so, "the historical demands that other administrations ignored and did not put their chests to do so" are required of him.

"I must tell the Peruvian people that we stand firm to face the great problems of the country," added Castillo during his speech.

On October 12, Castillo was constitutionally denounced before the country's Congress by the Peruvian Attorney General's Office, who has accused the president of corruption.

Given this constitutional complaint, the Presidency of Peru has asked the Organization of American States (OAS) to activate the Inter-American Democratic Charter to preserve democratic institutions and the legitimate exercise of power, alleging that the complaint filed by the Public Ministry against it it is "a new form of coup d'état".

According to the Prosecutor's Office, the president of Peru would be the head of a criminal organization active in the Ministry of Transport and Communications in complicity with the former minister of this portfolio, Juan Silva; as well as with officials from the Provías Nacional and Provías Descentralizado companies, the presidential office and other businessmen, all in order to favor the 'Puente Tarata III' consortium and other companies in public bidding processes.
