Mohamed bin Salmán and Xi Jinping close a series of strategic agreements in Riyadh

MADRID, 8 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The President of China, Xi Jinping, and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohamed bin Salmán, have closed a series of bilateral strategic agreements during the visit of the Chinese president to the Arab kingdom.

This agreement includes plans to harmonize Saudi economic strategy within its Vision 2030 plan, organized by the crown prince, with China's plans for its massive Belt and Road infrastructure initiative along the Gulf.

Both leaders have also signed a "memorandum of understanding in the field of hydrogen energy", according to the official statement collected by the Saudi SPA news agency.

Likewise, Xi and Bin Salmán have stamped their signature on an agreement for "cooperation and legal assistance in civil, commercial and personal status matters."

Finally, they have also agreed on a memorandum of cooperation for the teaching of the Chinese language in the country, another on the promotion of direct investment and finally, a housing agreement.
