Meloni condemns the attack in Algeciras and calls to stop those who want to "destroy" society

MADRID, 26 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, has condemned the attack perpetrated in several churches in Algeciras (Cádiz) and the stabbing on a train in northern Germany, and has called to "keep our guard up against the people and movements that want to destroy our societies and attack us for who we are.

"Acts of brutal and blind violence have struck Europe once again," lamented Meloni, in a message of "closeness" and "solidarity" towards the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz.

The attack in Algeciras ended with a sacristan dead and a priest wounded, while in Germany, committed inside a regional train in the north of the country, there were two dead and seven wounded. In both cases, the alleged attacker was arrested.
