Iran warns that the "window" of the negotiations on the nuclear agreement will not be open "forever"

MADRID, 28 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hosein Amirabdolahian, warned on Wednesday that the "window" of the negotiations on a possible nuclear agreement, damaged after Washington's decision to withdraw unilaterally in 2018, will not be open "forever".

"The window is open today, but if the other parties, especially the Americans, prefer not to give up hypocrisy, and the Westerners do not act realistically, it is not clear that that window that is open today will remain open tomorrow," he warned. , as reported by the IRNA news agency.

Amirabdolahian spoke these words in the framework of a meeting with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, in the capital, Muscat, to strengthen the bilateral relationship after the visit to the country of the Iranian president, Ebrahim Raisi, last May.

In this sense, Amirabdolahian thanked the Omani sultan for Muscat's efforts to help Iran and the other parties to achieve a "good, strong and lasting" agreement, according to the ISNA news agency.

Talks for Iran's return to the nuclear deal are virtually at a standstill. Last month, the Atomic Energy Nuclear Agency (IAEA) denounced Iran's impediments when examining its facilities, while Tehran has requested an end to these visits as a condition, among other unacceptable conditions for Washington, to return to the agreement.
