Iran slams Munich conference organizers for inviting 'anonymous clowns'

MADRID, 18 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Government of Iran has criticized the organizers of the Munich Security Conference this Saturday for inviting "anonymous clowns" to some of the events that are being held in the German city.

"Those who have been ignorant for 44 years of the unprecedented presence of the vast majority of Iranians in supporting the country, the revolution and its leadership resort to a few anonymous clowns who do not believe in democracy and do not know about the revolution," said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Naser Kanani.

"Soon they will kneel before the perseverance, strength and greatness of the Iranian nation," Kanani said in a message on his Twitter account.

Among the guests at the round table on Iran are the activist and journalist Masí Alineyad and Reza Pahlavi, a lawyer and former crown prince during the regime of the Shah of Iran.
