Governors put state security forces at Lula's disposal

MADRID, 8 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The governors of the Brazilian states have placed the state military forces at the disposal of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in case they are necessary to contain the protesters who have occupied the Legislative, Executive and Judicial headquarters in Brasilia to demand a coup.

"Brazilian governors and governors make themselves available to send state military forces to support the situation of national normality," has published the National Forum of Governors, which brings together the 27 organizations that make up the Brazilian federation.

Likewise, they "demand to purify the origin of this absurd movement and the adoption of energetic measures against the extremists and those who have allowed, due to negligence or convenience, such a situation, as well as the subsequent penalization of those responsible."

Supporters of Bolsonaro have stormed this Sunday the headquarters of Congress, the Federal Supreme Court and the Planalto Palace, seat of the Brazilian Presidency. The security forces have already managed to evict the headquarters of the Supreme Court.
