The president of Peru, Dina Boluarte, has charged this Thursday against the violent protesters in the 'Toma de Lima', assuring that "the full weight of the law" will fall on them, and reiterating her refusal to resign.

Specifically, the president has warned that the Government "will act within the framework of the Constitution" against those who have caused acts of violence, ensuring that the events that occurred in some parts of Lima are not a peaceful march.

"You want to break the rule of law, you want to create chaos and disorder. And within that chaos and disorder, take power of the nation," Boluarte said in a televised message.

Thus, the president has denounced that the attempt to take over three airports in the country, "in a concatenated manner, at the same time", has been a "premeditated" act that has required organization, according to a report carried out by the Peruvian government. .

"This is not a mere coincidence. They have wanted to take over three airports in the interior of the country (...) All the force of the law will fall on those people who are committing these criminal acts," he said.

He has also questioned who finances the people who attend the protests, arguing that the protesters are not going to their respective jobs and taking money to their homes.

Boluarte has reiterated to the demonstrators the importance of working on "the look that the country needs", listing certain problems such as the scarcity of water in the country, health, education or agriculture.

"I am not going to get tired of calling them to good dialogue, telling them to work on the needs that Peru needs," the president declared about the protesters who have come from regions to the capital.

However, the Peruvian head of state has assured that "the situation is under control" and that "the Government is firm and its Cabinet is more united than ever."
