Castillo calls Boluarte a "usurper" and assures that he will not give up his mandate as president of Peru

MADRID, 12 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The former president of Peru Pedro Castillo has called this Monday a "usurper" to what until now had been his 'number two', Dina Boluarte, who temporarily occupies the Presidency, and has assured that he will not give up his mandate or abandon his functions.

"I speak to reiterate that I am unconditionally faithful to the popular and constitutional mandate I ostentatiously hold as president and will not resign or abandon my high and sacred duties," he indicated in a handwritten letter posted on his Twitter profile.

Castillo specified that what was recently said by Boluarte, whom he has called a "usurper", "is nothing more than the same snot and drool of the coup right", so that "the people should not fall into their dirty game again elections".

Likewise, he has indicated that he feels "humiliated, incommunicado, mistreated and kidnapped." "Even so, (I am) clothed with your confidence and struggle, with the majesty of the sovereign people, (and) infused with the glorious spirit of our ancestors," he added.
