Braverman left Liz Truss's cabinet on October 18, just two days before the head of government announced her own departure. The Minister of the Interior resigned after detailing that the recipient of the email was a "trusted" parliamentarian, although she stressed that the way in which this information was transferred constituted "a technical violation of the regulations".
