Bolsonaro leads Lula in the Brazilian presidential elections with 22 percent counted

The far-right candidate for the Presidency of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro (51.43 percent), has prevailed over his left-wing rival, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (48.57 percent), according to official results corresponding to the 22nd, 3 percent of the vote.

These data released by the Superior Electoral Court on its website are provisional at the moment and could change as the recount progresses, as occurred in the first round, held on October 2.

So Bolsonaro appeared as the most voted option until well into the count, despite the fact that it was Lula who finally got the most support, although not enough to achieve direct victory in the first round.
