The Palestinian Ministry of Health announces the death of a civilian in a village in the West Bank city of Ramallah

The Palestinian authorities have established this Tuesday as a day of mourning and ask the international community to intervene

At least three Palestinian civilians have died and another 22 have been injured in the early hours of this Tuesday as a result of the use of live bullets by the Israeli Army in an operation in Nablus, in the north of the West Bank.

The Red Crescent emergency director in Nablus, Ahmed Jibril, has stated that medical teams have treated 25 people, of whom three have died and 22 are injured.

The injured have been taken to various hospitals. Thus, five of the victims are in serious condition, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The aforementioned agency has indicated that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had raided several neighborhoods in the old part of the city, after it was bombed. Gunshots and explosions would have been heard.

The Israeli soldiers would have received military reinforcements and would have been backed by drones, always according to Wafa.

In addition, the military deliberately opened fire on members of the Palestinian security forces, while preventing the passage of emergency teams to transport the wounded.

For its part, the IDF have announced in a statement issued this midnight that they are carrying out an operation in Nablus, without giving further details at the moment.

These operations by Israel come after the Palestinian armed group known as The Lion's Den - a relatively new organization mainly operating in the West Bank - allegedly carried out a series of attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians.

The aforementioned armed group denounced this Sunday the death of one of its highest officials, Tamer Kilani, in an Israeli operation, when a sticky bomb placed on a motorcycle exploded.

"URGENT INTERVENTION"

Palestine has warned early Tuesday of new crimes by Israeli soldiers, while calling for attacks on civilians to stop.

"The Council of Ministers has asked the United Nations and international human rights organizations to intervene urgently to stop the aggression in which the occupying forces use anti-armor missiles and drones to attack civilians in their homes," the Cabinet said in a statement. a statement collected by Wafa.

"(The recent attacks) against the besieged city of Nablus have resulted in the death of three people and several injuries so far," the letter continues.

Likewise, the spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeina, has affirmed that from the presidential office they are "making urgent contacts to stop the aggression."

Abu Rudeina has described the attack on Nablus as a "war crime" and has blamed the Government of Jerusalem "for the repercussions of this aggression".

In this sense, the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, has highlighted that the current situation is a "state of apartheid", and has criticized "the international community, led by the US Administration", for "practicing double standards".

"You must intervene immediately to stop the aggression and end this occupation before things become much more dangerous than Israel and the United States imagine," Abbas warned, according to his spokesman.

The National Movement for the Liberation of Palestine (Fatah) has joined the condolences of the fatalities, while stressing that "the Palestinian people will face the aggression of the occupation, and will defend their legitimate national and historical rights".

"It will not weaken the will, firmness or unity of our people, calling for an escalation of popular resistance against the occupation and breaking the siege of our people in Nablus," said a Fatah statement.

Likewise, he has emphasized that "one must not distort reality or allow oneself to be carried away by what the occupation (Israel) wants with the aim of diverting the conflict and turning it into an internal problem".

GENERAL STRIKE FOR THE VICTIMS

Local authorities have announced a general strike for Tuesday over the death of three Palestinians in Nablus, West Bank.

"Today, Tuesday, is a day of anger, in which we will carry out a comprehensive strike in the Cabinet to mourn the victim of the martyrs," the Nablus governorate reported.

In fact, demonstrations are taking place tonight protesting the "aggression of the Israeli occupying forces in Nablus" in various areas of the West Bank.

Those attending the marches, who have rejected the Israeli crime and shown "honor to the martyrs", have condemned "the international silence on the continuing crimes" and have demanded that international protection be provided to the Palestinian people.

NEW CRIME IN RAMALLA

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has also reported this same morning the death of a citizen by an attack by the Israeli Army in the north of Ramallah, about 80 kilometers away from Nablus.

The citizen would have died as a result of the bullet wounds he would have received in the chest during the clashes with the Israeli soldiers at the entrance to the Nabi Salé village.

With the death of this citizen, the number of fatalities in Palestinian territory this Tuesday by the Israeli Armed Forces increases to four.
