At least 25 dead when a bus fell off a cliff in northern Peru

At least 25 people have died and dozens more have been injured this Saturday when a bus fell off a cliff on the Los Órganos-Negritos highway, in the Piura region, in northern Peru.

The Police have reported that a vehicle belonging to the company Q'Orianka Tours Águila Dorada left the road when it was carrying 60 passengers, according to the Peruvian newspaper 'Correo'.

Passengers were thrown out of the vehicle windows as a result of the accident. The accident would have occurred at approximately 6:00 in the morning, approximately.

For now, the bodies remain scattered at the scene of the accident, while the injured have been evacuated to the hospitals in El Alto and Máncora.
