Vox denounces to the AN several Christmas dinners held in Bilbao and Galdácano where ETA members would have been honored

It maintains that they were supported by Sortu and that the city councils of both cities authorized the acts

Vox has filed a complaint with the National Court (AN) for several Christmas dinners that were held on December 24 in Bilbao and Galdácano in which a series of tributes to members of the terrorist organization ETA were made.

As reported by the formation, its letter asks "to purify responsibilities against those who are responsible for the call and organization of these acts that would result in crimes of glorification of terrorism and humiliation of the dignity of the victims of terrorism."

The complaint, which has ended up in the Central Court of Instruction Number 3 directed by María Tardón, focuses on the tributes consisting of "some Christmas tables in which photographs of ETA members with messages of support were displayed."

The letter, prepared under the direction of the VOX National Legal Vice-Secretary, Marta Castro, maintains "that these tables have been supported by Sortu, although it is unknown if his support has been with his assistance to these macabre tributes or with financial aid " . Likewise, she assures "that the city councils, both of Bilbao and Galdácano, should have authorized these acts, since there is no news that the public force acted so that they did not take place."

The training also points out "that freedom of expression, the right that the defendants rely on to allow these acts, as well as those who participate in them, even the specially protected one such as freedom of political positioning, cannot cover actions that have deserved the serious criminal reproach, as are the murders for which those indicated were convicted".

"The honorees are in prison convicted of execrable acts that not only are not deserving of praise or praise, but must be recipients of all the rejection of society, hence they were convicted of them," Vox pointed out. .

Thus, the party led by Santiago Abascal has requested the identification and declaration of those responsible for the organization of the Christmas tables, as well as that the Bilbao and Galdácano municipalities be free to provide all the documentation on their power on the events of December 24, 2022 and to the Government Sub-delegation to send the full report on the tributes.

Finally, the formation has urged that an official letter be issued to the National Police, Civil Guard and Ertzaintza to collect a report on the data they know about the people who were at the event, who attended and all the other information that is available in their power over the development of the act. In addition, he has requested that the Judicial Police report accrediting the content of the links, photographs and social networks, indicated in his letter.
