The trial of the former members of the Parliament Bureau Anna Simó, Lluís Maria Corominas, Ramona Barrufet and Lluís Guinó for alleged disobedience to the Constitutional Court (TC) when processing resolutions related to 1-O will be repeated in the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) from March 14 to 16.
In a procedure consulted by Europa Press, the TSJC sets the trial in three morning and afternoon days, which will begin with the interrogations of the defendants on Tuesday, March 14, will continue with the witnesses on Wednesday the 15th and end with the final reports on Thursday. 16.
The trial date comes after, in November, the Supreme Court (TS) ordered the TSJC to repeat the trial against these four former members of the Table, whom it has already tried and sentenced for disobedience to one year and eight months of disqualification in addition of a fine of 30,000 euros.
The Supreme Court found it necessary to repeat the trial, considering that two of the three magistrates had violated the principle of impartiality by expressing their positions before passing sentence.
Simó, Corominas, Barrufet and Guinó were members of the Board under the mandate of the former president of Parliament Carme Forcadell, and were tried in 2020 also together with the former deputy of the CUP Mireia Boya, who was acquitted and against whom the trial will not be repeated .
