The Plenary of the Constitutional Court (TC) has unanimously rejected to suspend the judicial authorization given to the medical service of a residence to vaccinate an elderly person with Alzheimer's against the coronavirus and that, according to a court in the Canarian municipality of Telde and the Provincial Court of Las Palmas, who gave the permission, is not qualified to consent to the vaccination.

In an order, the TC argues that it has taken into account that if the vaccination is not administered, this person is doomed "for health reasons" to a situation of "semi-isolation" that "negatively" affects "his physical and mental indemnity ".

With the president of the TC, magistrate Pedro González-Trevijano, as rapporteur, the court unanimously dismisses the request for the precautionary suspension of the authorization, since the reasons given, he explains, "must be assessed" in the sentence.
