The judge maintains the summons of the former Undersecretary of Equality with Oltra despite communicating his intention not to testify

VALENCIA, 17 Jan. (EUROPE PRESS) -

The Investigating Court number 15 of Valencia maintains for tomorrow Wednesday the summons of the former undersecretary of the Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies Francesc Gamero despite his intention not to testify in the case for the alleged cover-up of the sexual abuse of a minor by an educator, ex-husband of Mónica Oltra, until the secret piece that investigates the emails between two charges in that department is transferred to him.

The instructor takes for granted his statements that at that moment he will avail himself of his right to silence until the partial secrecy agreed upon in one piece is not lifted and he informs the prosecutor and the rest of the parties involved in this procedure. Therefore, the former undersecretary must appear in court this Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., as he had been summoned.

Gamero informed the judge last week of his intention not to testify while the secret of the summary of that piece is maintained, since his defense could not know everything instructed prior to the date set for the declaration.

Thus, the same situation is repeated as in the case of Oltra's former chief of staff, Miquel Real, also summoned to testify as being investigated, and who availed himself of his right not to testify until the partial secrecy of the proceedings was lifted, a decision that he communicated in advance to the judge, but that did not prevent him from having to appear on the agreed day and time.

On October 27, the Investigating Court number 15 of Valencia opened a separate secret room after the request of the public prosecution exercised by Gobierna-TE, which had requested the contribution to the cause of the emails from the server of the Generalitat of two senior officials in Equality at the time of the events.

The popular accusation had requested the practice of proceedings to identify the members of the Vice-Presidency Cabinet at the time of the investigation -which affects Oltra and 14 other senior officials and technicians in the department he directed-, as well as regarding the participation of its members in the events, through the contribution to the cause of the email communications of the public servant of the Generalitat in relation to the general director of Infrastructures and Social Services, Enrique Alcocer, and the then regional secretary of Equality, Alberto Ibáñez.
