The Generalitat allocates 3.3 million to subsidies to hire young people in research initiatives

The Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society has published the new call for grants of the 'Investigo Programme', which aims to hire young job seekers to develop research and innovation initiatives in the Valencian Community.

For the 2023 financial year, the Generalitat allocates 3.3 million euros to this program financed with European funds from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.

These subsidies are intended for hiring job seekers for the development and execution of research and innovation functions, tasks and initiatives in the Valencian Community, as research staff, technologists, technical staff or other professional profiles in I D i, as well as in his case, as research support personnel, detail from the department directed by Josefina Bueno.

The duration of the contracts to be subsidized will be a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 24 months. The contracts may be of two types, a module A, with a salary of 22,405 euros per person hired and year of hiring, which means 1,867.16 euros/month for people in the Social Security contribution groups of 9 to 5 , both inclusive.

And a module B, with a salary of 33,108.92 euros per person hired and year of hiring, which means 2,759.07 euros/month, for contracts in the Social Security contribution groups of 4 to 1.

In addition, it is planned to give additional travel aid, amounting to 1,000 euros per year of contract for those people hired who have their residence in a different province from where they are going to carry out their job.

The beneficiaries may be public research organizations, public and private universities and their research institutes, technological centers and institutes, science parks, research institutions of other administrations located in the Valencian Community, instrumental public sector entity of the Generalitat dedicated to research, other public RD i centers with their own legal personality or private non-profit R D i centers of the Community and with their own legal personality.

The applications and necessary documentation must be submitted electronically within the period between April 4 and April 24, 2023, both inclusive, filling in the official application form available through the*electronic headquarters of the Generalitat Valenciana or at the website of the Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society.
