The Court of Barcelona acquits an agent tried for alleged injuries and crimes against moral integrity

BARCELONA, 7 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Court of Barcelona has sentenced a man for a crime of resistance and two for minor injuries to two mossos d'esquadra who in April 2020 tried to denounce him for skipping the confinement due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The sentence, to which Europa Press has had access, imposes a fine of 1,440 euros for these events in addition to compensation of 900 and 1,150 euros for the police officers, and instead acquits him of the crime of attack for which he was also tried. .

Also accused in the trial was one of the agents who has been acquitted of the crime against moral integrity and alleged minor injuries for which he was tried.

The court considers it proven that the man was in the street in front of his house, on the Gran Via in Barcelona, thus breaking the restrictions due to confinement, and then a patrol told him that he had to go home but he refused and he did not have any document to identify yourself.

The proven facts of the sentence add that the man spat at the agents and tried to enter his building, but one of the mossos prevented him by putting his foot in the door and the two policemen managed to enter the portal despite the fact that the man tried to avoid it.

Once inside, the police officers subdued the man, who reacted "violently to the opposition, especially violent," leaving the officers with minor injuries.
