PSOE of the Senate also tries to stop the appeal of the PP and presents a letter of recusal against Trevijano and Narváez

MADRID, 19 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Socialist Group in the Senate has filed a writ of appeal with the Constitutional Court (TC) against its president PedroJosé González-Trevijano Sánchez and magistrate Antonio Narváez Rodríguez, to try to stop the PP's appeal and allow the Senate to proceed with the reform of the Criminal Code.

This recusal letter is added to the one presented by the PSOE in Congress and to that of United We Can, so that the reform of the Penal Code, which changes the majorities precisely for the Constitutional Court, repeals the crime of sedition and touches on embezzlement, can follow his parliamentary course in the Senate.

According to the document presented by the group led in the Senate by Eva Granados, to which Europa Press has had access, the Socialists have explored this path of requesting that Trevijano and Narváez be withdrawn, disdaining their impartiality, to try to stop the request of the pp.

In addition, they allege that the Senate Justice Commission has already given the green light to the processing schedule for the reform of the Penal Code, which will undergo its first examination tomorrow in the Commission and on Thursday, December 22, it will be seen in plenary session.

What's more, they explain that the Senate Board has to decide tomorrow on the writings sent by PP and Vox to try to paralyze this process.

"In the case at hand and as the appellant group knows, there are documents pending resolution by the governing bodies of both Chambers that affect the legislative procedure in progress and, therefore, allow us to affirm that the acts related to this processing are not firm, without concurring, therefore, the procedural requirement for the filing of this appeal", alleges the letter of the PSOE
