The lawyers of Bartolomé Cursach, Bartolomé Sbert and Jaime Lladó have submitted a brief to the Superior Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands (TSJIB) requesting the opening of an oral trial against the judge Manuel Penalva, the prosecutor Miguel Ángel Subirán and the agents of the National Police who they will investigate them in the macro-cause of alleged corruption in the Local Police.

In the letter, they request prison sentences that add up to 200 years in prison and 338 years of disqualification and fines that together amount to 2.3 million euros for continued crimes of revealing secrets, obstruction of justice, omission of the duty to prosecute crimes , prevarication and coercion during the investigation of the cause that has now been judged in the Provincial Court.

The indictment presented this Thursday comes just after the end of the trial in the Court, in which the majority of defendants, including Cursach, Sbert and Lladó, have been acquitted.
