A court investigates Cristina Seguí for broadcasting a video of the victims of the alleged sexual assault in Burjassot

VALENCIA, 30 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Investigating Court number 6 of Valencia investigates the former leader of Vox and president of Gobierna-te, Cristina Seguí, for the publication and/or dissemination of a video on her social networks about the minor victims of an alleged sexual assault allegedly by of five adolescents between the ages of 15 and 17 in the Valencian town of Burjassot.

As reported by the consumer organization Facua in a statement, I continued to testify in court on December 22.

The hate crimes section of the Valencia Provincial Prosecutor's Office already opened ex officio proceedings against Seguí in June for these events and for the comments that were made about them. Facua then provided the public prosecutor with digital certificates of the messages published by the accused both on Twitter and Telegram, which are also in the possession of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

In these messages, according to the organization, Seguí inserted different versions of a video where the 12 and 13-year-old girls allegedly sexually assaulted on May 16 in Burjassot spoke with a friend, also a minor.

The Prosecutor's Office finally filed a complaint in November for the dissemination of the video, considering that the facts could constitute a crime against privacy, typified in articles 197 et seq. of the Penal Code, and/or a hate crime, included in article 510.1 . The case has corresponded to the Investigating Court number 6 of Valencia, which is investigating the former leader of Vox and in which the evidence sent by Facua has been incorporated into the investigation.

In the part of the complaint filed by Facua before the AEPD, this organization initially required Seguí to delete the messages in which he had inserted the video where the name of one of the minors and the first surname of another were mentioned, the username on Instagram of one of the victims and, for a moment, the faces of two of the girls could be seen talking.

However, after deleting the messages, he republished the video in another version, with pixelated images, "which in any case did not prevent the minors from being recognized by the rest of the personal data that appeared in it," says the organization.

Five minors, between the ages of 15 and 17, were arrested and placed at the disposal of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office for their alleged involvement in the sexual assault. The public ministry demanded the internment of four of them in a closed regime but the court ordered their supervised release with restraining orders, a decision appealed by the Prosecutor's Office.
